A note of thanks

These past six months have been a whirlwind. Looking back at what we’ve navigated together, I’m genuinely grateful for the way you’ve helped me stay the course.

We’ve had to deal with a lot - shifting structures, constant changes in leadership, and evolving directions. It would have been easy to get lost in the noise, but you’ve been there every step of the way, helping me adjust, stay focused, and keep my head in the game. I really appreciate the effort you put into our sessions. You don't just hand out advice; you bring a completely different perspective that forces me to see things I would have otherwise missed.

What I admire most, though, is the example you set. Watching you balance leading our team while managing your own family life, all while keeping things in stride, is something I look up to. It’s inspiring to see that kind of balance, and it’s a standard I hope to reach myself as I grow.

Thank you for being such a thoughtful mentor. I’ve come to really value our chats; they’re the highlight of my schedule. I’m genuinely excited to see what we’re going to achieve together over the next few years as we build toward our long-term goals.

MORE than just a Mentor

When I sit back and think about the last few years, a lot of words come to mind when I try to describe you: leader, collaborator, challenger, communicator, mentor, father, and friend. But above all, you are a listener.

It’s rare to find someone who embodies all those things at once, but that is exactly what you’ve been for me. You haven’t just influenced my career; you’ve had a profound impact on my life. I can honestly say that I wouldn't be where I am today without your support, your guidance, and the time you’ve consistently made to help me navigate the tougher moments.

You have this unique ability to challenge me when I need it and just listen when that’s what’s required. That balance is what makes your mentorship so effective. It’s not just about one topic; it’s about the person behind the actions. You’ve shown me what real leadership looks like, and you’ve set a bar that I now strive to meet in my own life.

I’m incredibly excited to see the impact you’re going to continue to bring to the team next year. I know that whoever you’re working with is going to be better off for it.

Years of Growth - A Quick Look Back

Wow, Dano, what an incredible three years this has been. Looking back on where we started and everything we’ve navigated together, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the impact you’ve had, both on our team and on me personally.

It’s one thing to be a leader, but it’s another thing entirely to lead the way you do. Your style is genuinely inspiring because it personifies exactly what a great leader should be: someone who is present, invested, and relentless in the pursuit of growth. I’ve learned so much just by watching how you handle the pressure of building and rebuilding teams. I’ve seen firsthand the culture you’ve managed to create - it’s something truly remarkable, and it’s a testament to your vision and your ability to bring out the best in everyone around you.

I especially want to thank you for how you’ve challenged my thinking over the years. You’ve never let me get complacent. By constantly setting a high bar, you’ve pushed me to be a better version of myself, even when I didn't see that potential in myself yet. I’m so grateful for all the knowledge and insights you’ve shared with me.

Our chats about strategic growth are always a highlight. I honestly look forward to them. I don't think I’ve ever walked away from one of our sessions without feeling completely energised, motivated, and ready to make real progress. You have this way of cutting through the noise and helping me focus on what actually matters, which has been a complete game-changer for my development.

But beyond the professional side of things, I’m just as grateful for the person behind the coaching.
